The Solaster is a semi-custom frameset, build for smooth commutes, long days in the saddle and weekend gravel get-aways.
Trying to maintain the balance between a very noodly rando bike and a beefy ATB bikepacking rig we have landed - probably closer to the rando side of the spectrum - on a very capable yet classic frame design.

The frameset is designed with a tire clearance for min. 48mm tires + fenders (55mm w/o*), medium length chainstays and a low trail geometry for nimple handling even when heavy front loaded.
While it is designed with 650B tyres in mind thru most sizes, 26" or 700C will be an option/necessity in each end of the size spectrum.

The Solaster is build from a mix of Reynolds 631 and 725 steel tubing, our own dropouts front and rear and it's spec'ed with old skool standards for the parts bin dream bike!
All mounting points (dropouts, bottle bosses etc.) are made from stainless steel so when the paint cracks (it always eventually does) the water will do no harm :-)
*a little fender-hacking will fit both 55mm gravel-friendly knobbies and fenders

Geometry
The Solaster frameset is a semi-custom bicycle. This means that most of the design of the bikes geometry and charactaristics are already decided, like a stock model.
What makes it stand out from a stock model is that you'll still get the frame fitted specifically to your body just like a full custom frame.
